Invisalign orthodontic treatment has offered many of our patients a much more comfortable method of correcting the alignment their teeth. Instead of metal brackets glued to teeth with wires connecting them, Invisalign treatment comes in the form of a series of clear acrylic aligners. There’s no metal wires or brackets to cut into the insides of a patient’s cheeks.
A patient wears these aligners between 20 to 22 hours per day, removing them for meals or for cleaning their teeth. Because they can be removed, it’s easier to keep teeth cleaner. And because there are no brackets glued to the teeth, there’s no staining left behind when they are removed.
In about the same amount of time as metal braces, the nearly-invisible aligners of Invisalign can correct overbite, underbite, open bite, crowding and other orthodontic problems without revealing your treatment to your friends.
